Take the bike tour of a lifetime, passing through breath-taking highlands and coffee plantations in central Vietnam. Your trip will take in the coast, where you’ll see beautiful, pristine fishing villages and spend some time meeting the friendly local people before arriving in the stunning ancient town of Hoi An. This trip takes in the real Vietnam, all the way from Saigon to Hoi An, including Dalat and its forest surroundings and the spectacular, unique coastline leading into the world heritage site of historical Hoi An.
This is an action-packed seven days, suitable for all abilities and levels of fitness, but with minimal car time. A short flight to Dalat allows you to take in the wonderful colonial architecture before an unforgettable cycle ride through the highlands and the farming villages down to the coast and, ultimately, Hoi An.
The Vietnamese coastline is famously composed of long, winding, picturesque roads that circumnavigate headlands and sand dunes. See the fishing boats at their moorings and the beauty of the ocean as you cycle towards world-famous Hoi An with all its majesty, history and superb food. The beach alone is just reward for the exertion of the seven days and the perfect way to draw your Vietnamese adventure to a close.
Today We leave Saigon flight to Dalat. After lunch and a briefing, we take to our bikes to explore Dalat.
Da Lat sitting in the midst of the central highlands, the city is flanked by lush pine forests, undulating hills and vibrant gardens. It is also popular for trekking and wildlife spotting for those seeking a bit more adventure from the main attractions of the city. Established over a century ago as a French hill station, the city is illustrated by colonial decor, traditional villas and Art-Deco attractions. Deliciously fresh produce and a vibrant central market are a highlight of the visit, as are the cute if slightly kitsch ‘love’ attractions of the city.
Da Lat is also known for some of the best coffee in Asia, a great way to fuel the day’s ride. We’ll start with an exploration of Dalat, cycling on sealed roads and unsealed trails through beautiful pine forests, flower gardens and coffee plantations.
Peak Season: For tours starting from December 20 through January 3 there is a peak season surcharge of 15% on the price of this tour due to hotel rate increases at this time of year.
